Glenda and Phil's Story ......in three hundred words or less.

My wife Glenda and I have been fans of The Biggest Loser since the very first show

We can relate to the struggles the contestants go through because we too are battling obesity.
Now that we are older, I being 45 and Glenda 50, that battle is even tougher than before. This time it's a battle we refuse to lose.
Glenda' starting weight is 263 lbs and her goal weight is 150. My starting weight is 299 lbs and my goal weight is 190.
We are truely optimistic that these goals are obtainable but realize we must be creative in our approach to the way
we exercise. For the past decade Glenda has been dealing with the excruciating pain that comes with having Rheumatoid
Arthritis and she is also diabetic. I have a bulged disc in my lower back along with arthritis in both my hands from working many
years in the construction industry.
After careful consideration we came up with an exercise program that we feel will benifit us and give us the results we
are looking for. It incorporates moderate weight training as well as cardio which invloves riding the stationary bike three days a week.
After we exercise we show each other support by giving each other high fives and verbally acknowledging each others accomplishments.
As for preparing our meals we've decided to go straight to the experts and follow the guidelines set forth in the Biggest Loser
Cookbook. Who better to direct us in healthy food choices?
Although we need to overcome our physical limitations to be successful in the pursuit of our goals, we hope by our example that
we can inspire others to do the same and ultimately win the Million Pound Match Up.

You two are doing an awesome.  One thing about being sick is you would think this is the time you would lose a ton of  weight, but the body does not work that way.  It is not surprising you gained or stayed the same.  Take care of yourselves and we hope you are feeling better!!!!  Your looks GREAT!!!
